Carolyn E. Gaston, President

Carolyn E. Gaston, a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, is the founder of Carolyn Gaston & Associates, P. C..  A graduate of the University of Michigan and holder of a Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University she has been practicing law since 1989.  She is unique in her qualifications as she was once a prosecutor and is now a defender.  Further, she speaks both English and Spanish.

Carolyn is a member in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan, the Grand Rapids Bar Association as well as the Federal Bar Association.  Martindale Hubbell, a rater of lawyers for both legal and ethical competence, places Ms. Gaston within the top 11% of attorneys in the nation.

Anne E. Lewis, Associate Attorney

Anne E. Lewis, a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, is an Associate of Carolyn Gaston & Associates, P.C..  She graduated from University of Michigan and holds a Juris Doctorate from Michigan State College of Law.  She was admitted to the Michigan State Bar in 2005.

Renee J. May, Paralegal

Renee J. May is a native of Lowell Michigan and a Lowell High School Graduate with her Paralegal Certification from Davenport University.  Renee has been with the firm six years.  She serves as Chairperson of the Grand Rapids Bar Association's Legal Assistant division.  A Kent County notary public since 2002 she has grown with and has become an integral part of the firm.
